There are always some people who have an unexplained wrist pain. Some of them have the wrist pain lasts for a week even a month. Some people have to get their wrists hurt all night.

1, Wrist sprain or bone fracture will cause wrist pain.
Most of the patient has history of trauma. They have wrist weakness and activities stiffness after injury. Generally there are no obvious swelling and pain in minor injury. But in major injury or wrist fracture will seen wrist swelling with severe wrist pain. Patient even cannot move the wrist or pain will increase after movement. There are also have tenderness or muscle tissue abnormalities. Wrist injury should be treated in time to prevent carpal scaphoid bone and lunate bone ischemic necrosis or osteonecrosis.

2, Wrist tenosynovitis.
One of the wrist hurt reason is mainly due to wrist tenosynovitis. The characteristic symptoms of tenosynovitis are wrist or finger numbness, edema, tingling, decreased sensitivity, percussion pain, joint inflexible, squeeze difficulty by finger, finger weakening, increase finger discomfort by movement and others.
3, Rheumatoid arthritis.
Wrist pain and swelling are the main symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and with the further deterioration of the disease, will bring limited activity, muscle atrophy and other serious symptoms. Rheumatoid arthritis even effect multiple organ in patients body causes variety of clinical manifestations. The early symptoms are not typical. Rheumatoid arthritis also have low fever, fatigue, weight loss, joint pain and other symptoms. Rheumatic disease should get correct diagnosis as soon as possible to control progress of disease and avoid further harm to patient.
4, Carpal tunnel syndrome.
Carpal tunnel syndrome also is a common disease that causes wrist pain in obesity or aged people at night. It causes by pressure on the median nerve with transverse carpal ligament in patient wrist. Carpal tunnel syndrome also cause numbness, hand weakness, tingling in hand.
